How do I know if I've got the right size?

Normally you can simply order your usual size, since all our clothes are designed with extra space and stretch for your growing/shrinking bump.

However, us pregnant mums often think we've put on extra weight, so you may want to check the sizing charts, below, for extra peace of mind.

Remember, you can always order a few sizes and return those that don't fit. UK returns are free!

Can you customise clothes for me?

Yes! At the moment we can only offer the service for clothes designed by Harry Duley, but we're working on the rest. Check out the bespoke sizing and alteration service!

I really love your clothes but you don't seem to have my normal size. Can you help?

Yes, let us know what you want and we'll talk to our suppliers. We'll do all we can to help get what you need!

Sizing Charts

Melba Maternity (Maternity clothing and nightwear)
Melba Maternity clothes are generously sized, so definitely try your pre-pregnancy size; UK returns are free.

Harry Duley (maternity wear)
All Harry Duley clothes stretch to fit extremely well. The high lycra content in the cotton knit helps clothes to maintain a snug, shapely fit throughout pregnancy. The quality of the fabric means that Harry Duley clothes also retain their shape very well, and so continue to fit as bump shrinks back down again.

Harry Duley clothes work on a size S to XL scheme, which we have translated into 10-16 on our webpages. The trouser lengths are as follows (in inches):

Fertile Minds (6 Way Dress)
The sizing on the 6 Way Dress refers to the size of the band around the bust, and the following is a rough guide based on the designer's advice:

BUT, due to the thoughtful design, we find that a broad range of shapes and sizes can wear this dress. The band around the bust is very elastic, and the important size is the total around your bust and back. So a larger cup size, accompanied by a smaller back size can easily wear one of these sizings. For example, a 34GG had no trouble comfortably wearing the size Large.

If you in doubt, please contact us, or order a couple of sizes and return any size that doesn't fit. Remember returns are free in the UK!

HotMilk nightwear is sized from S to XL, which equates to:

Again, if you're not sure, try a couple of sizes and return (for free in the UK) any size that doesn't fit and keep the one(s) that do.

Dote (breastfeeding clothing)
Dote clothing is sized from S to XL. The table below is from Dote's own sizing information with our recommendation for a UK size equivalent.

Belly Bandit (Belly Wrap)
If you are purchasing a Belly Bandit early on in your pregnancy, go up 1 to 2 band sizes from your pre-pregnancy belly size.

In the eighth month many women will be the same size as they will be post delivery. Measure the circumference of your abdomen starting at your belly button.

Just prior to delivery just subtract 3 to 5 inches from your belly measurement. Select the corresponding band for that size.

If you purchase your Belly Bandit after you give birth, simply choose the corresponding band for your waist size.

The Belly Bandit is designed with five inches of adjustability to stay tight as you shrink.
