The brand new StorkSak Olivia baby changing bags have arrived!  We’ve unpacked the first of our consignments from StorkSak, and were exicited to see the Moss Green and Berry Red Olivia bags here at last (we have to wait a few more days for the black).  They’re now lined up in the stock room waiting for orders.

The Olivia bags are chock full of pockets, with lots of space for everything you need, yet are surprisingly light. The colours are lovely and vibrant, and the gold coloured hardware really makes them stand out.

On the front are two feature zips which open to access a large pocket, then there are pockets all the way around the front, sides and back for things you want access quickly.  The top zips open, and inside there are more pockets (including a mobile phone pocket); the changing mat and bottle holder and a removable pouch.  Finally, there are two carry handles and removable shoulder strap.

We’re predicting these are going to be very popular and can’t wait to start sending them out to customers!

New StorkSak bags in this week

This week at Cecily Plum we’re looking forward to our first deliveries from the Spring Summer 2010 collections.  Expected first are the StorkSak and Babymel baby changing bags.

We’ll be shipping all the pre-orders on the StorkSak and Babymel bags over the next two weeks as all the bags come into stock.  Our first delivery is due in today or tomorrow and will include the Elizabeth in luxurious chocolate leather (we’re really looking forward to this one!), as well as favourites such as the Jamie unisex bags.

Cecily Plum Best Sellers for January ‘10

It’s the beginning of the month again, so here’s a quick run down of the best sellers from last month here at CP.

At number one it was the Lin and Leo Leather Baby Changing Bag, available in Chocolate, Tan and Cherry.  Tan is the favourite colour at the moment, with the lovely cherry selling particularly well to our Irish customers.

We still have a few left of each colour, then will be re-stocking later in the month when the new shipment arrives from the designers.

Number two is the StorkSak Elizabeth bag, available in Caramel and Dark Grey, or in black for the quilted leather bag.  There are two new colours for the Elizabeth bag which will arrive later in February – red and chocolate.  We think these are going to be very popular and they’re available for pre-order right now.

And at number three it’s the Quilted Babymel Amanda changing bag.  Since its introduction last season, the quilted Amanda bag has been very popular.  Available in black and limited edition pink (we have just a few left in pink) this is loved by so many of our customers.  With lots of pockets, including insulated bottle pockets, plus a the integral stroller clips the Amanda is a great chioce.

Lin and Leo BabyBag vs StorkSak Elizabeth

Many of our customers find it difficult to choose between the Lin and Leo BabyBag and the StorkSak Elizabeth baby changing bag, these are both gorgeous, classic bags so it can be really difficult!

Here’s our handy run-down of the main differences between the two changing bags:

  • Size: The Lin and Leo BabyBag is the biggest of the two, it has a very large main compartment, plus pockets on the outside.  If you want to carry a lot, then this is a definite bonus.  However you should also take into account that all this extra space means the BabyBag is bulkier to carry, whereas the Elizabeth is more slimline and suitable for carrying across the body.
  • Pockets: The Lin and Leo BabyBag has fewer larger pockets than the StorkSak Elizabeth.  With three large pockets on the inside, each big enough to hold a few nappies, two bottle pockets (not insulated), big zipped pockets on the front and back (these run almost the full height of the bag) and a further two pockets on the front.  The Elizabeth bag on the other hand has one very large pocket, two smaller ones and six further smaller ones on the inside; then two pockets on the outside, one of which has a mobile phone pouch.
  • Cleanability: Both the Elizabeth and BabyBag are leather on the outside, so are easily wipe-cleanable.  On the inside only the Elizabeth has a wipe-clean lining.
  • Handles: Both bags have double leather handles for carrying in your hand, or over your shoulder.  Both also have a long, adjustable and removable shoulder strap for carrying over the body (or buggy handles), though only the BabyBag’s is leather (Elizabeth’s is webbing).
  • Accessories: Both bags come with changing mats included which are wipe-cleanable.  The Elizabeth also comes with a seperate insulated bottle holder and removable waterproof pouch handy for keeping wet clothes seperate.

In summary – the Lin and Leo BabyBag is bigger; the Elizabeth has a wipe-clean lining and more accessories; the BabyBag has fewer larger pocket on the inside and more pockets on the outisde.

If you still can’t decide, you can always order one of each and send one back using our free returns.

Happy choosing!

New Supplies of StorkSak Elizabeth Bags

A quick update on the StorkSak Elizabeth baby changing bags – these are now back in stock after a short absence.  We have both the caramel and grey in available.

StorkSak Baby Changing Bags Spring Collection

The new collection of StorkSak baby changing bags is unveiled, and available for pre-order right now.

Elizabeth Baby Changing Bag will come in gorgeous new colours ruby red and chocolate brown to add to the current range.  We love both and predict they’ll be very popular in the spring.  These new Elizabeths have all the same details and changing bag accessories as the rest of the Elizabeth changing bags, including Mum pockets, insulated bottle holder and removable pouch.

Emily Baby Changing Bag has a new colour – rich purple – which we can’t wait to see in our stock room.  Emily is always a popular bag due to its hobo style, and the new leather range has been loved by our customers.  This new colour will be no exception we think.  The Emily bags all include insulated bottle pockets, lots of pockets for organising, plus an adjustable leather strap.

Olivia Baby Changing Bag is a new style from StorkSak which comes in three colours: berry red, moss green and black.  A lightweight nylon bag, with all the usual StorkSak pockets and accessories, the Olivia bags are sure to be popular this summer.

We expect all these changing bags into stock during February, you can order now and we’ll send out your bag as soon as it’s available.

Last Months Best Sellers

As usual at the beginning of the month, here are the best sellers from last month. This month it’s been entirely change bags!

  • Amanda Baby Change Bag by BabyMel in both black twist and chocolate floral was our number one seller.
  • Lin and Leo BabyBag in cherry.
  • StorkSak Elizabeth baby change bags in Caramel and Grey

April Maternity Best Sellers

We’re now 6 months old! Yay!

We had a great March, lots of bags sold (as usual!) and also had a great time at the Little Monsters Show in Bristol. Our overall best sellers were:

  1. The StorkSak Elizabeth change bag is a big favourite, in lovely leather with lots of organisational details.
  2. The Emily changing bag by StorkSak has also been popular this month, it comes in black and brown and as with all the StorkSak bags, looks nothing like a change bag.
  3. The end of February saw our mini-collection arrive from Boob, with maternity dresses and the Smocked Nursing Top which has proved very popular during March.

February Best Sellers

It’s a little bit later than usual, but here are our best sellers from February.

1. Nightwear has been popular during February, with our new stock from Amoralia and HotMilk doing really well.

This maternity and nursing pyjama set from HotMilk has been so popular, and it’s easy to see why!

2. Change bags from StorkSak were popular in February, with the Elizabeth Change Bag sold the most.

3. The Knitted Pom Pom slippers have continued to disappear in our sale. We now have very few of these left!

Choosing a StorkSak Baby Change Bag

The designer baby change bags by StorkSak are increasingly popular due to their sheer style combined with an array of practical features. But how to decide which StorkSak to buy when there is such a lot of choice?

Your baby changing bag will be carried everywhere with you while your baby’s small, so choose one you really love, and this means both in terms of style and practicality.

Elizabeth
The StorkSak Elizabeth bag is the top of the range bag, made of hardwearing leather with chunky metal rings, clasps and studs it looks and feels like a really good bag. It has an excellent array of pockets inside, as well as a removable insulated bottle holder; outside there are more pockets and a phone holder.

The Stork Sak Elizabeth has classic looks, and is slimline enough to be carried easily over one shoulder with the leather handles, or across the body with the removable canvas handle. It can carry most laptops, and the internal bottle holders are removable to make extra space. This is an ideal bag to use as a work bag once you’ve finished carrying nappies around.

Julie
The StorkSak Julie is a little less expensive than the Elizabeth, and has a funky look. With nylon satin, leather and metal hardware, this looks more like a fashionable handbag than a baby bag. It has the usual staggering array of pockets, but is slightly less high then the Elizabeth, so has a squarer, more compact feel. The Julie baby bag comes with the same useful accessories (insulated bottle holder, change mat and mini bag) as the Elizabeth.

Mia
We have fallen in love with the StorkSak Mia bag, which has all the style of a chic handbag, with the usual StorkSak practicality. In this case the bag as a long adjustable handle and a magnetic clasp to fasten.

Emily
Very popular is the lovely StorkSak Emily bag. Similar in shape to the Mia, the Emily baby changing bag has additional pockets on the outside which are perfect for storing bits and bobs you want to access quickly. With brushed gold metal hardware, this is a really stylish bag!

Jamie
Otherwise known as the Brad Pitt Bag (after he was photographed with it), this is a stunning unisex bag your man won’t mind carrying (even my bag averse man likes it!). Large enough for most laptops, and with the usual StorkSak practical features, you’ll find the StorkSak Jamie bag is useful for a long time. With subtle style features such as the stylish canvas strap, contrast stitching and inline pockets, friends will never guess it’s full of nappies.
