I usually write about exciting products we have in store, but today I’d like to say that we’re currently looking for exciting new jewellery and skincare ranges to expand our new Mum gifts department.

We’re looking for jewellery which has a distinctive appeal to New Mums or pregnant Mums, something pretty that would make the perfect present, and also something a little bit different or quirky.

In skincare we’re looking for pampering products, either designed for pregnancy or breastfeeding Mums or that would be suitable.  Something that smells divine, that leaves Mum feeling like a princess or that helps relieve those aches and pains.

Pregnant women are always in need of a little pampering and thoughtful maternity gifts are the perfect way of showing you care. Receiving pregnancy gifts can make a pregnant woman feel special and appreciated, at a time when she may not be feeling her best. There is a wide range of Maternity gifts available nowadays, particularly online.

Here are my favourite suggestions for maternity and new mum gifts.

Comfortable clothes:
Maternity clothing and nursing clothing are also thoughtful and much appreciated gifts. Breastfeeding tops, loungewear; perhaps even a maternity evening dress can be given as presents. Or maybe some maternity accessories for comfort, such as luxury slippers, or style like a bright pashmina.

Jewellery
A cool pregnancy gift would be a long necklace with a chunky pendant. The long shape elongates the woman’s look, and a large sized pendant balances their bump. Check that the necklace is adjustable so the pendant can fall just above the bump.
Popular new mum gifts include reminder bracelets. For breastfeeding Mums this bracelet is the perfect way not to forget which side they need to start the next feed on.

Skincare products
Maternity treats such as scented oils, bath oils, candles and moisturising body creams also make lovely luxury presents. Watch out for luxury gift packs of creams and massage oils that help prevent and remove the marks that are often inevitable after child birth. Pregnant women love to feel relaxed.

Still not sure?
If you are still unsure about the kind of maternity gift that will be appreciated, you can always give a gift certificate that can buy something useful and essential. This is another way to make sure that a gift is not duplicated and the receiver is able to choose a gift that matches her tastes exactly.

Maternity gifts are a great way to show that you are thinking about someone during their pregnancy. They are also a generous way to mark the new baby’s birth with a gift for the new mum rather than the new arrival!

This morning I had the first necklace delivered for our new and exclusive jewellery range! It’s gorgeous! We have helped to design the piece, which is handmade in Somerset, and which will be the first in a range of necklaces and earrings.

There are no images yet, but I’ll be taking it to the photo shoot on Friday. When I get some, I’ll post them here.

It won’t be long until we have the necklaces in our Accessories section. They will make perfect pregnancy gifts or gifts for new mums.
